Baby Girls Nursery Tour!

Baby girls room is finally DONE!.... With 2.5 weeks to spare! Go me!

Ok, there are some empty frames on the wall but they will be filled after I get some newborn photos and a birth announcement printed!

I'm not going to go into huge detail because it's past my bedtime lol, but here are some quick photos I took today after her new glider got delivered!

I'm super happy with how soft and girly her room turned out, and how I was able to accomplish a bit of a vintage feel I was going for, using some old meaningful family pieces - all for under my budget of $500!

Enjoy!

Gallery wall requiring some photos and her initial! Wall colour is Bear Run by CIL.

Ikea chandelier (it was left in the house by the previous owners!)

The dresser was in my bedroom growing up. I primed and painted it from its original warm honey colour and added new hardware.

Beautiful custom tassel garland by my bestie Chantal at UrbanFizz!  - https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/urbanfizzinc

Jenny Lind crib by DaVinci - Amazon.ca (I sold Easton's old crib and change table to fund this one!)

'Do all things with love" - Print from Winners

Flower from Dollar Mart, curtains from Ikea (also left by the previous owners)

The "Princess Mirror" belonged to my grandmother and was in my parents crawlspace collecting dust for about 15 years!

Glass knobs and white porcelain pulls from WW Liquidators in Kitchener

Hi, my name is Devon and I suck at blogging...

Hi Blog-land,

Let me preface this post by saying I'm writing it, editing photos and posting during a 1.5 hour nap time, so please excuse the disastrous post/grammar/writing to come!

Alright now that that's out of the way...

I'm alive! Its been 4 months since I last blogged and I seriously don't know where the time went. Im 30 weeks pregnant, Easton is practically a teenager, and I have so much to update on!

Let's see..... so, we're having a GIRL! We found out just before Christmas that its a wee little lady growing in there, and we're ecstatic! She doesn't have a name, a bedroom, or anything other than a huge stash of 2nd hand clothes, some cloth diapers and a crib, but she'll be here in 10 weeks or less! (not more... don't even go there). The countdown is on!

I've been feeling pretty good too! A bit tired and sore and getting to that large and uncomfortable stage, you know, where you forget something upstairs you cry a little bit because you have to practically climb Mount Kilimanjaro again. And a restful nights sleep turns into a 'tossing and turning, peeing every couple of hours, poppin' Tums like they're going out of style, getting up to eat a bowl of Cheerios at 4 am' -type affair, but, that's all just part of growing another human inside of you. No biggie.

Lets see, another memorable Christmas came and went (yes I know that was like 3 months ago...), we ate, we sang, we opened, (I even cooked!!), and we just enjoyed our time with loved ones, celebrating the most wonderful time of the year!

Um, I also have a two year old!? Easton celebrated his 2nd birthday in January with a Construction themed party, and he got spoiled rotten by our amazing friends and family, as usual.

What else... we just got back from a week long trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! It was our Christmas present from my parents and was an absolutely perfect vacation. The weather could not have been better, Easton had a blast, and Dan and I got to relax and not cook or clean or think about anything other than what to devour at the buffet next.

Ok, that was a quick update, but that's all I have time for at the moment. So much to do, so little time! I just wanted to churn this one out quickly and hopefully the next post wont be such a mess!

Thanks for reading :)

Later gators!
